Leah and Jared | 8.4.2018 | Flag Hill Winery, Lee, NH

I knew Leah and Jared would have an amazing wedding day. Their chemistry during their engagement session was off the charts, they had an adorable pup with them, and their venue was Flag Hill Winery, one of my favorites!
I was not wrong! The forecast for the whole week was not looking good. It was calling for thunderstorms ALL DAY Saturday. I can shoot some gorgeous portraits in rain, but unfortunately thunderstorms are one of the few weather conditions I can’t safely work with outdoors. However, I had all sorts of backup plans because Flag Hill has some amazing indoor spots! I knew that whatever happened, these two would have a wonderful day and we’d get some amazing photos.

The morning of, it was still calling for a rainy day, so I made sure to pack my stockpile of clear umbrellas. When I arrived at The Hotel Portsmouth to meet Leah, I found they’d had the same idea and had purchased a stack of clear umbrellas as well!
The atmosphere the whole day was excited, fun and sweet. The sun came out shortly after we arrived at Flag Hill, and Leah and Jared got their outdoor ceremony!  We did portraits and just as we had wrapped up and headed into the tent, the sky opened and it started pouring. The timing couldn’t have been better. After the rain subsided, a double rainbow appeared. As I’m retelling this I’m still pinching myself, it was crazy! The rest of the night was a blast, and the dance floor was packed the whole time. There was a ton of laughter, maybe a few spilled drinks, and lots of love. At sunset we went out to grab a few more photos in the vineyard, and then a fog rolled in, which was the icing on the cake. All in all, it was just a wonderful day with two wonderful humans and I’m so excited to share these photos!
