Jasmine and Hunter picked the perfect place for their classic New England Celebration. They got married overlooking the water at the Seacoast Science Center in Rye. We’d been watching the forecast that week warily, because thunderstorms were predicted to roll through. When we arrived, the skies looked ominous and thunder rolled in the distance. Jasmine and Hunter saw each other for their first look overlooking the ocean, as it started to sprinkle. It was actually pretty perfect. They were both in great spirits and we retreated under the tent as the skies opened, grabbing a few shots here and there as there were breaks in the storm.
Their ceremony took place under the tent with the stormy ocean as the perfect backdrop. They said their vows to the soundtrack of rolling thunder and falling rain in a sweet, meaningful ceremony. Afterwards, the skies cleared long enough for us to take their family photos out overlooking the water, and then their guests enjoyed quintessential New England faire from the amazing Foster’s Catering, Memories Ice Cream, and blueberry crumb cake for dessert!
I know a rainy forecast on your wedding day can be scary, but it almost always results in beautiful photos. The sunset that night was unreal, and we were able to sneak the couple out for a few shots to take advantage of those gorgeous skies.
I had a blast and I hope you enjoy the photos.
